6 months

Nora and Liam are six months old and finally got to meet each other!  

(Their arranged marriage will take place in about 21.5 years.)

At six months, Liam...
can SIT UP!
eats all kinds of food
gives 'kisses'
got sick for the first time
flew on an airplane for the second time
loves toys - especially his new zuzu pet!
loves to be thrown up in the air by daddy
has lost most of his hair and no longer can have his mohawk.  new blonde hair is now growing in.
can pull his paci out, and new can usually get it back in!
naps in his carseat most of the time
sucks on his big toe - even right through his socks or jammies
has grown out of all his six month size clothes!

5 months

-eats food! (can't get enough!)

-pulls pacifier out, but can't get it back in yet

-loves cache

-laughs lots and lots!

i couldn't be more grateful for this healthy, chunky boy.

in his four months of life, liam has already been to branson. missouri three times!  unfortunately, this weekend was the first time we actually took our camera with us and pulled it out to snap a photo. 

liam was happy the whole time we were shopping cause mama strapped him in the baby bjorn.  he loves it!

four

liam is four months!

here are his four latest 'tricks'...

 kicking like a crazy man in the bathtub

 blowing lots of bubbles (and always having a wet shirt in the process)

 reading books with mom before bedtime

and 'sitting up' (well, wishing he could, but falling over lots!)

oh, and he looks so dang adorable in his new hat!

roaring river

we took liam on his first camping trip to roaring river, MO. the weather was gorgeous, and the company (nate, mary, and emerett) was fantastic! the only thing... i thought camping was the 'get away from it all' - but we were at a campground with people RIGHT next to us on all sides! didn't really feel like 'camping'.  regardless, we still had a lot of fun.  both babies endured it well at their first sleep in a tent, and they LOVED that we were outside so much!  unfortunately, we didn't take many pics - didn't get any of our cute camp-mates, or of our sweet matching orange tents!

three months

at three months, liam...
-loves to be in this johnny jump up
-now sleeps in his own room at night and for naps
-is not a fan of the carseat, especially when it's not in motion
-still LOVES to be held at all times and sleeps best in someone's arms
-still can't figure out how to sleep at night for longer than 4 hours  :)
-smiles at everyone.  this really makes for happy strangers behind me in the check out line.
-tries to sit up when I lay him down
-'talks' a lot and says the sound /g/
-loves to be outside
-has officially grown out of all 0-3 month clothes (it seemed to happen overnight!)
-weighs 16+ lbs!
-is learning to like the bumbo...but still not a real fan
-likes the tv (ya, i know...good parenting, jaci)
-loves to spend the mornings with grandma lea ella
-still adores bath time and being naked! he smiles when i start the water and take off his diaper.
-is testing out a 'no dairy' diet to help the pooping process!  this stresses mommy out because she's having to relearn how to cook and eat with no milk, cheese, yogurt or butter (and that means no ice cream either!)  he also drinks prune or apple juice at least once a day.  again....pooping is proving to be harder than you would think! (no pun intended)
-has started really noticing his hands and goes cross eyed when he watches them move
-is a very happy and smiley boy!

blessing day - sept 4 2011

it was a very spiritual day, and filled with lots of fun with family...so we were all feeling a bit exhausted!

so blessed to have this boy. i love our little family. the day was perfect.  having grammy fay and grandpa layne here just made it so complete!  miss you already. thanks for all the hugs and kisses. come back to visit soon!

i finally have a nursery!  though the walls and dresser aren't painted like mommy wants, it's still cool to have my own room.
