disappointed this week

This is the first season I have voted on American Idol. I told myself I would vote for one person each night and was so impressed with the girls this time that I voted for THREE girls this week, including Asia'h Epperson. I absolutely loved her voice because it was so different -- I was SO disappointed when she went before annoying Amanda Overmyer.

I am still rootin' for my two faves - Brooke White and David Archuleta. Not because they are LDS, but because honestly they are SO talented and SO humble about it. I thought Brooke's song this week, "Love is a Battlefield" was brilliant. She can play the piano and guitar, she dresses modestly and is adorable. I just can't say it enough. Vote for Brooke!

p.s. Hallelujah that Danny Noriega is gone. When he would sing it would make me sick to my stomach the way he moved around the stage.

I too am rootin' for Brooke and David! I didn't even know they were both LDS until recently- I just loved their talent and personalities. And I was also bummed out about Amanda staying- she's a little too crazy and has only one style she can do- she's good at it but she's not versatile at all. I didn't watch American Idol at all last season... and now I'm gettin sucked back in- it's addicting.

Oh by the way- Kelli and Barb are both doing good.... I keep in touch with them through facebook. Kelli has a blog and the link for her is on mine under kelli and jordan if you didn't see it yet.

Hope all is well!

I like Brooke too, I am still deciding on David. He reminds me of this boy we went to Junior High with that had a slightly lesbionish friend (he was overly feminine) and they would make up dances to Nsync and perform that at assembly. I still just can't get over that, I see him everytime I watch American Idol. I liked Danny Noryega's (?) voice, but looking at him just threw you for a loop. I would have liked him if I had never seen him, but wow, he is just too over the top.

That is so funny. I feel the same way about that Danny guy. He drives me CRAZY. Everytime he was on Mike would be like "that guy is like Sanjia #2 except possibly more gay than him." I'm so glad he's gone.

haha... i totally agree with you Jaci! I cannot stand Amanda Overmeyer and wish she would just go away. I cringe everytime I hear her voice. I really hope David and Brooke get far. I too couldn't care less if they are mormon or not. They are honestly the most talented. I really like Jason Castro too. And I thought David Cook did a really good job last week.

Jaci, this cracks me up. I didn't know you were an American Idol fan. I think David Archuleta is incredible. His voice reminds me of Kenny Loggins. I think Brooke is pretty good too, not my favorite, but....I will still like her. I also love Jason Castro. I couldn't stand Danny either. He was the most annoying person ever. I don't even think you can compare him to Sanjaya, cause Sanjaya seems like a singing cherub compared to gross Danny. I will have to say though.......contrary to what everyone else has said....I like Amanda. I think she had a couple of rough weeks, but she is just so different. Anyway...my two cents.

I am with you on Danny. My husband and I cheered when he left. He needed some humbling to say the least. Boo! But yes Jaci so good to find you on this! Thank you so much for your comment. You are still just as cute as I remember you in Junior High. I was so sad when I left Fairfield and more than half my friends ended up going to Davis. So it has been fun finding everyone and seeing where they have ended up. Looks like you guys are up in Logan and doing well. We are in Ogden almost done at Weber. No kids yet. Just having too much fun with eachother. Keep in touch Jaci!

Jaci! Amen to this little post of yours! It was good to hear from you. Seriously, junior high was forever ago! Katie and I were thinking back on that hilarious assembly we did introducing the new school theme, "Soaring through the millennium on the memories of our past." Let's be honest, we all should be famous for that one! Anyway, you still look as cute as you always did in junior high...hope all is well!
