HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Bro!

Preston is now officially closer to 30 than he is to 20!
Happy 26th Birthday, Pres!

You're my most favorite brother by far!
(He's the only one I've got!)

garage band

Zach's younger brother, Andrew is a music maniac -- he is an amazing guitarist, and recently got a drum set for his 17th birthday. This is just a little (actually long) video of their garage band YouTube debut. This kid is just hilarious on the drums. Way to go, Andrew -- you're a stud.

she did it!

It's a week late, but I wanted to give a big CONGRATS shout out to Ali for being the first female biggest loser! She deserved it -- with her body transforming the way it did! Way to go, girl!

green is keen

Something about watching a plant grow makes me smile. I find it miraculous that a beautiful creation can come from a tiny seed. When my sister Adri taught me last week that you can quickly grow some wheat grass, I was all over it. I decided to do it in a glass vase to see the works -- the roots, the seeds, and the grass. Doesn't it look cool? No green thumb is required to grow this wheat grass...and since it grows within a few days, and so fast you can almost watch it grow -- it makes you feel like a pro! Bring a little green into your home this spring!!

..and you can see my awesome shelf from IKEA.

one year

I miss you, Ecuador. I have now been home for one year. The time has passed so quickly, yet I frequently have to look at my pictures to remind myself I was truly there! I love your people, your smells, your tastes, and your feeling of home. I hope to come visit again really soon. I feel so blessed to have been sent to such a beautiful, diverse country. The photos help remind me of you, but nothing measures up to being there. Que Dios le bendiga.
Con amor, Jaci.
